30 Day Drawing Challenge, Day 18: Just a Doodle

I doodle, but the situation has to be right for doodling. Am I in a history class? Time to doodle. Is it a Thursday afternoon and I’m watching Law and Order? Usually not time to doodle. However, for the drawing challenge, I decided to make an exception and put together some wonderful doodlin’s for you.

I was reading about doodling – because nothing says being obsessive like reading about a drawing challenge’s concept and finding out what it really means – and found an interesting statistic: in a study, doodlers recalled 29% more than non-doodlers. I can attest that doodling has helped my memory recall during particularly dry classes. However, that never made me feel like the teacher wasn’t going to see what I was drawing and demand “Why weren’t you listening to the lecture!?”

As a side note, having “Just a Doodle” for today was a nice break from feeling compelled to color in all the drawings I’ve been doing lately.
