30 Day Drawing Challenge, Day 7: Favorite Word

I have many words that I love, but found that not all of them were suitable to my skill level. While I would have loved to do Homunculus, I found that my design was going to be very complicated and require a lot more than the hour or so I afford myself for this project. I found myself trying to find a word that could be represented simply; one design I concocted for “Mango Liquid Refreshment” was simply too abstract, and “Guava” was too simplistic.

I decided to go for:

Sesquipedalian. I decided to make the letters kind of cramped and jumbly in an attempt to visually represent that the word is a mouthful, and in and of itself is terribly large (but also fun). I colored it in Photoshop with better overall results than the gorilla.
